A visit out on the Dursey Boat Trips is a must if you visit Beara!! Got a call yesterday evening from Paul O Shea to say there were humpback whales off the Blackball and Dursey Island and he was taking the boat out and who could say no to a trip like that?
Leaving Castletownbere the sun was shining but as we arrived at Garnish Pier the fog had descended, visibility was very poor and I was sure we would see nothing!!
How wrong I was, as we got further out to sea, the sun was struggling to come out and finally.. wow I let the pictures speak for themselves!!! Beautiful light, changing colours sure where else in the world would you be!!!
After a bit of hide and seek with the humpback whales our patience paid off and they surfaced much to the joy of everyone on board.
