Trafrask National School, Adrigole, Beara celebrates their 175th Anniversary.

It was a momentous occasion for the past, present, and future students, teachers, and their families of Trafrask National School as they celebrated their 175^th Anniversary. The event was well-organized and attracted a large crowd.

The walls were adorned with student artwork and photographs from various years, which were very well-received.

School Principal Louisa O Donoghue and Chairman of the Board of Management Kieran O Shea welcomed everyone and explained that the day's theme and outlined the celebration.

Fr Martin Sheehan and Fr Amos conducted a mass, followed by the cutting of a commemorative cake, which was made and decorated by Fr Martin.

The honour of cutting the cake was given to the oldest past pupil present, Timmy Downey O Sullivan, and the youngest pupil, Méabh O Sullivan.

The Board of Management unveiled a plaque to commemorate the anniversary.

A tree planting ceremony was held to symbolize the past, present, and future. John and Joseph Blake represented past pupils, current pupils planted the second tree, and future pupils Croía O'Sullivan, Jackie O'Grady, and Lucy and Emma O'Shea planted the third and final tree.

Refreshments and food were served in a marquee following the event.

Congratulations to all who worked diligently to ensure the success of the celebration.
