Darkness Into Light 2021 is an annual fundraising event for Pieta House. Normally we would all gather together some would run and some walk. With these strange times we all head off together but apart. Here's hoping for a normal gathering next year!!!
As I finished my run I met Claire Elphick who had just finished her run, its becoming a tradition for the last two lockdown DIL to take a picture at the lifeboat station with Claire.
Andrew, & Caoimhe O Sullivan with Laura O Sullivan Fenton, arrive after finishing their run. Caoimhe bringing one of her traditions to Castletownbere from Ballyvourney, the tradition is "Cupáin tae ar breac on lae" (my spelling may not be quite correct as gaeilge Caoimhe!!) Translated "cup of tea at the dawn of day"
