On Sunday last a crowd gathered in Castletownbere to see the Christmas lights being switched on. A lovely evening was had by all. There were lovely treats for all the boy, girls and adults. Fr. Noel blessed the crib and turned on the lights. The Castletownbere Choir entertained the crowd. Well done to all those involved in putting up the lights and organising the event. The weather was lovely and people were able to enjoy a chat.
Earlier in the day there was a very successful Christmas market in St. Peter's Church.
